You have an accent are you from Australia?

I was born in England, just outside of London. I received a Bachelors of Science from the University of East London in Multimedia Design Technology. Then I decided to risk everything leave my family behind and move to Fresno, CA.

Why Fresno?

My wife is from San Jose, CA and at the time housing prices were insane in the bay area. We decided Fresno would be a more affordable place to live and for me to gain some all important work experience in America. While Fresno is extremely hot in the summer, i will always take heat over the doom and gloomy weather in England.

Why do you have an Associates Degree in Architecture?

Houses, renovation and woodwork have always been a hobby for me. I took classes in both Mechanical and Architectural drawing and i enjoyed modelling buildings and creating floor plans. 75% of the course work and exams required using computer software such as AutoCAD and modeling packages.   I was on the deans list nearly every semester and had a great experience, i won a design competition and prize money.

So why Computers?

I have always loved computers, my dad would write code creating games on our 386 computer. He loves technology and we would always have the newest gadgets to play with. I could always fix hardware problems and upgrade computers but i  was amazed by the potential of the internet and started to create websites. I loved university projects staying up until sunrise working on Photoshop,  flash movies and websites.

Do you own an Apple computer?

I will never forget this but i once went for a job at a school district, 100% apple computers. i hadn't touched an apple since my PowerPC 8600 bought in the late 90's, i somehow passed the written but didn't make it past the verbal exam. I felt i had let my self down, so i purchased a used black Macbook and started to study, eventually passing the Apple Certified Support Professional certificate. I still use my personal Macbook weekly and will occasionally see work issues with apple computers, and because i didn't get the school district job i am an all round better system administrator.
